Tesco Bags of Help

9th November 2017

Tesco have teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of up to £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores – and we have been selected as one of those local charities.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from carrier bag sales in Tesco store.  The public will now vote in store during November and December on who should receive the award.

Your votes will be counted, and depending on the number of votes we receive, the funding that we receive will go to our Eat Well Spend Less Project.  Eat Well Spend Less is a six-week budgeting and cookery course teaching people cookery skills and household budgeting tips to help make tight budgets stretch further. Typically, we look at the basics of cookery, budgeting, hygiene and nutrition.

The participating stores are:-

  • Tesco in the town centre
  • Tesco Express on Coggeshall Road
  • Tesco Great Notley
  • Tesco Marks Farm

Your support will really make a difference. Thank you
