About us

We believe that no one in our community should face hunger.

That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to people in the Braintree District.

We are part of a nationwide community of food banks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. We want to see an end to needing food banks in the future.

Braintree Area Foodbank have been providing food, for those in crisis, since April 2012. Our mission is to see that no one should go hungry. With centres in Braintree, Halstead and Witham.

The people at the foodbank were wonderful, they understood and saved us.
