Winter Appeal 2023 – Empty shelves and more mouths to feed

31st October 2023

This year Braintree Area Foodbank are asking for people to donate from their winter appeal.

This year Braintree Area Foodbank are asking people to give the gift of a meal for Christmas rather than Christmas food.

Charity Manager Lee Ranson said “This year we have had to spend over £46,000 on food to keep our stocks up as donations have dwindled yet we are seeing an increasing number of new clients, which is why we are desperately asking people to donate from our Winter Shopping List 2023 or take part in our Reverse Advent Calendar 2023. We know that Christmas is normally a time of festive food but by donating to our appeal this year you will be giving someone a meal for Christmas”.

Braintree Area Foodbank are continuing to support everyone who has been effected by the cost of living crisis and the increasing trend of people entering in to food poverty who have never faced this situation before.

Every donation will make a difference.
