Help us this Harvest

This year we are collecting non-perishable goods (tinned and dried goods) which do not spoil or decay.  This means that neither the food bank nor the person receiving it has to worry about storing food in fridges or freezers when some of our clients don’t have them.

Your donation from our shopping list will help to support local people in crisis. Our latest figures reveal that we have provided just over 4,000 parcels to individuals and families, since April 2025, that cannot afford the essentials such as soap and toilet roll and who are constantly juggling their finances to be able to live.

Food banks provide emergency food and practical support to people who have been left without enough money to live on.  Rising food and fuel prices, static incomes, high unemployment and changes to benefits are causing many families to struggle to put food on the table but you can help be part of the solution by helping us this Harvest.

People also get emotional support and a reminder that they are not alone. The volunteers at our centres offer a friendly face and a listening ear. For many people, it is the first time someone has sat down and simply listened to them – especially when they are worn down by the way out social security system currently works.

To make sure that we can support you during your harvest celebrations we have collated a multitude of different resources for groups. These range from schools to churches. We also have a team of volunteers who are able to come and speak at your school, church or organisation. If you would be interested in any of the above, please get in touch using the details below
